16.71 Change Log Notes:

  • Added a time zone option for Beijing.
  • Fixed a battery drain issue related to pairing an inReach device.
  • Fixed an issue with the drawing of golf greens.
  • Fixed a potential issue with altimeter data during rapid ascent or descent.
  • Fixed a potential crash while using ClimbPro.

    I was on a short 1 mile run while using bluetooth headphones (Soundcore Neo Liberty) connected to the watch (no phone in the equation) and a little over halfway it rebooted on me. I have never had it reboot during an activity. Once it rebooted, the bluetooth was cutting in and out as well, had to keep my watch closer to the headphones. I am not sure if it was just a fluke or not.

    I've noticed that the red direction arrow will almost always point to the bottom of the watch when following a course (or navigating to a saved location), even when the course direction is being properly followed. If it does correct itself during the course of the run, it will revert to pointing to the bottom of the watch again after taking a turn in the course.

    Additionally, if  a course is started and then stopped Strava segments will NOT show when approaching them.

    I have huge altimeter errors with v15.40, is this solving that? I

    I confirm that for some time the gesture detection (not during activities!!!!) has been worse than before.

    I can’t confirm whether it started with 15.40 or not, but until May it worked well. Recently I started to use again gesture backlight and another thing related to arm movement (custom watchface showing a 2nd page after the gesture), but both are unstable and illogical. 

    My best bet is that it works well, but if I am inactive for an hour or so, my watch goes to sleep as regards gesture detection.

    It may be the reason why gesture detection is still perfect during activities.

    I haven't found major problems so far. Battery life is good, altimeter behaves nicely despite changeable weather. Only that course scrolling bug is still there. (displays course-2, course, course+1 while scrolling down). Minor thing, I'll report it for the n-th time.

    Sorry but Nokia died because of Android and also its lack of anticipation, it had nothing to do with the time the models lasted.

    It seems that this beta has solved, for me, the problems with the altimeter present in the latest official versions.

    Compare to classic wathes. It is pricey, and had one feature: time. But classic watch company still here. Like Rolex, Omega. Tissot, Luminox etc.

    since the update i have some problems during a workout with my map, sometimes it jumps to a place i was a few minutes ago...
