Livetrack showing no connection

Anyone having issues with livetrack? Used to work perfectly on my forerunner but since changing to a Fenix 5x plus it's not working. I start it from the watch and the email sends to my wife but when she clicks on it the map says no connection. I tried un-pairing the watch prior to my last run and re-paired it and it still didn't work, I've enabled the app to have constant access to location services with no luck either, cheersGrin

  • Maybe you can try posting this question on the Garmin Connect Mobile forum for your device, there is more activity there, and this issue can occur with other watches as well.

  • Cheers i'll give it a bash, did some more testing today with no luck

  • Look at the GC app settings. Geopositioning has to be ALWAYS.

  • Yup everything is enabled fully, jist seems to be an issue starting it from the watch as opposed to via the app.

  • I'm by no means implying you have the same issue as I did, and I hope not! For me, LT suddenly stopped working after a year or so (no position updates) when auto-started. Manual start from the app worked, but when using auto-start, the map screen never updated. My suspicion was that the presence of another watch in my account interfered (there were other issues that pointed in that direction). If it is still there, maybe you could try removing your Forerunner from your account? And if you haven't done so yet, do contact Garmin Support by phone, they're generally quite helpful.

  • Hi there I've got it sorted I tried deleting the old watch yesterday with no luck either. What I've eventually done was roll back the Garmin connect software to an earlier revision (Febs) and its worked straight away so I've dropped Garmin support an email so they can hopefully investigate and fix the glitch in the next release.

  • Glad you got it sorted! Not so awesome that Garmin released a Connect Mobile version with apparently this problem in it though. Good that you let them know.

  • Thank you and cheers for the help, it was your suggestion to head over to the app chat that found someone who knew what to try. My forerunner was problem free in all the time I had it but the fenix is far fancier so I daresay these glitches happen albeit it seems to be the app that's causing the glitch here.
