Why would you think that the problem is the device with a real altimeter and not the one that uses GPS to roughly estimate altitude?
Was not trying to say that it is either this or that device because I just don't know. If altimeter is better than using phone GPS, then great.
However, I put altimeter on continuous "during activity" and "not during activity" and realised that it did not change even a meter when I ascended 10 metres. I understand that maybe I got settings wrong, thus I asked the question.
