"Resume later" function not working anymore

Since a few days when I hit the "resume later" function, this does not work anymore. The activity is synced to Garmin Connect and I cannot resume at a later point.

Prior to this, it worked just fine.

Just checked my F5+ with an indoor activity and it works (I did my run already in the morning).
Which app caused the problem? Garmin or 3rd party? And additional information?

If the activity has synced to Garmin Connect that suggests the activity was stopped. In which case you cannot resume it later. The Resume Later functions will only be available for activities that you have not 'Saved' but chose to 'Resume Later' from the menu. If you 'Save' the activity then that activity is finished.

Dear Philip,

Thank you, but I am aware of that. To make it clear: I am choosing the "resume later" function; something I have done for over a year and something that worked perfectly until last week. At the moment, the only work-around is to stop the activity (without saving it) and then resume it when I am ready.

Dear Alan,

The problem comes from the watch, I assume. Here is what I did in the past: let's say I walk for dinner. Once at the restaurant, I stop the walk and press "resume later". After dinner, I would press the "start" button and I would be back in the activity screen and could just continue the walk.

Since last week, that does not work anymore. When I choose the "resume later" function, the activity gets saved instead.

Unfortunately you did not answer my questions, so the only thing I can contribute is that on my F5+ the "resume later" function works with the build in apps for strength training and hiking, which I both checked today (Firmware 13.0).

Firmware 14. I went running today. Stock app. When I arrived, I tried "resume later" and it worked as expected: as soon as I confirmed "resume later", the watch went back to my time watcface, and when I pressed the start button (upper right) it resumed the activity.

I would like to thank everyone for their input. Since yesterday, the "resume later" function suddenly started working again. I can only assume there was an issue with an updated and another update fixed it, but I honestly do not know.
