  • Hi and ,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The nature of this bug means that some users will need to un-pair and re-pair their Fenix 5 Plus device to Garmin Connect Mobile for LiveTrack to resume functioning as expected. Correct functionality should return after you do this.

    To do this, please:

    • Open GCM on your phone and select your Fenix 5 Plus device
    • Open the menu on the device page and select "remove device"
    • Close GCM and open the Bluetooth menu on your phone, remove the Fenix 5 Plus from here too.
    • Return to GCM and ensure the device is still removed (sometimes opening the Bluetooth menu will add the watch back to the list in GCM)
    • When the watch is removed from both GCM and the phone's Bluetooth menu, initiate the pairing process in GCM and re-add your Fenix 5 Plus watch.
    • After pairing and syncing, LiveTrack will again work as expected.

I apologize for the inconvenience of re-pairing, but I am confident this should address your issues. If for some reason it does not, please email us at [email protected].

    Thanks,
    Mel

  • Thanks for responding Mel. This is however exactly what I did earlier today. Although the _auto start_ now works, and the email with the link is sent, there is no position/track shown on the LiveTrack map screen. I did not test incident detection, but ilsalgo reported that that does not work either.

  • I have already tried but it doesn't work

  • Thanks, for me it worked. Juts having re-paired the watch on Android 10 (no uninstall) , the autostart of the livetrack works now and also the livetrack map

  • Rectification: if is not the Fenix 5 Plus, there is no map on the LiveTrack page using the Fenix 1 either (this worked well until a few days ago). "No signal, trying to reconnect". So I guess that the autostart for Fenix 5 Plus is indeed fixed by the steps outlined by Mel, but now there is another thing going on with LiveTrack in general.
