HR monitor issue

So I've had my watch for a couple years now and it's always been updated. Lately the wrist HR monitor is not working correctly. It will constantly drop into the low 40s for a HR reading and stay down there when I know that isn't even close. I've tried reseting the watch, turning wrist HR off and then back on..... Nothing seems to get it to start providing any kind of accurate reading. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Thanks.

  • Mine has done this since I purchased it in May. It has never ever worked properly.

I've had 3 replacement watches and all have done the exact same thing.

    Extremely poor.

  • Yeah it always worked fine for me and was pretty accurate compared to my chest strap. But now it is basically useless. I have a heart condition and I can't get a proper resting heart rate to properly set up my HR zones along with other metrics. Extremely frustrating to say the least.

I'm having the same issue. Mine is regularly stuck below 100 BPM when my other devices are recording 160 BPM or more. Is there seriously now fix for this? I even shaved my arm where I wear the device.

  • Well in the time I've owned my F5+ I've used various firmwares (beta and release) and nothing has changed. Still the same rubbish. It pretty much makes the watch useless as loads of other data is dependent on HR.

I've owned umpteen smart/fitness watches over the years and never had an issue with wrist HRM. This watch is utter trash in comparison and in my opinion is not at all fit for purpose.

  • One factor is you. With different skin, fat, capillaries, etc.. it will just work differently for different people.
Not saying there isn't problem with software, hardware or armband tightness but our different bodies seems to make a huge difference.
Chest strap is highly recommended for any activity.
I've found the HRM-TRI is the best quality.
