TICKRx won’t connect to Garmin Fenix 5s Plus

I’ve got a new TICKRx HR monitor. I can’t pair it to my watch - the watch fails to find it via Bluetooth. I can pair it on the TICKR app on my iPhone so I know it’s working fine. Have tried holding light button on watch until it powers off then restarting but same thing happens. Any advice welcome.

  • I used to have a TickrX (years back, things may have changed), and it could only be paired to one device at the time via Bluetooth. It was dual mode, so I used it with a Fenix 3 via ANT+, and with the phone via BLE. With ANT+ you can have many listening devices, with BLE not so (unless it's broadcast mode, which some cheap activity trackers actually use..).

You can try this: delete the TickrX from the sensors in your watch. Then do a search for new HR sensor. Once it is found, check in settings->sensors->[Ticker]->About that it says 'ANT+' next to 'Tech'.

Thanks for the idea but no luck, the watch just doesn’t find the HR monitor. Annoying.
