I am not faster as I have to run further to get to the same distance? I have no idea of the reason Alan that is why I asked if any one else had the issue
You wrote: "every run I do is definitely reporting a lot longer than it used to" - this obviously makes you seemingly faster!
Check the quality of your tracks and compare them with your friends.
Follow Garmins advises for better GPS-Quality.
Do you use a footpod and have enabled distance measuring with it?
Run another course with your friends - this is also a general advice to stay motivated.
Be sure if there would be such an issue with Firmware 13.0 there would be numerous threads about it in this forum.
GPS typically is accurate to 5 meters, so from the start point to your end point of a straight mile can be expected to be 10 meters out and still within spec. You could find you are 2 or 3 meters off your running track when viewed on a map, but the distance itself is still quite accurate.
Better to stick with units that match -10 miles is approximately 16 kms; 500m is 3.1% error over 16kms which whether you like it or not is good for a wrist worn gps watch.
