My brand new fenix 5 plus cannot see any of my bluetooth headphones.  I try to pair them up but never finds anything to pair to.  Anyone else?  Please help.

What exactly goes wrong? Watch says 'try again' after having searched for headphoens? This works for me: putting the BT headphones in paring mode immediately after activating the 'search for headphones' on the watch. And then waiting a good few seconds before the headphones realize they are paired.

Yes, the watch says 'try again' after having searched for the headphones.  I have tried every single sequence of events but the watch does not see any headphones.  My BT headphones are in range and work well with other devices.

  • Sounds like you know what you're doing so here's what I would try next.

    1) factory reset the watch. hopefully this does it

    2) contact Garmin support. hopefully it's still under warranty, Garmin support is fantastic.

  • I've had no problems pairing Xiaomi Airdots, Haylou GT2 or MPow M30 headphones, I can't really help as this really should just work assuming your headphones are in pairing mode.

PS: The MPow M30s work superbly with the Fenix 5 Plus and are great for running.
