Do you run with headphones / heart rate strap or use activities with music?
A number of us have noticed high power drain after activities with music, approx 1.5% per hour continuing directly after an activity, so two days battery life. Reseting the watch does not solve the problem, as the high drain starts up again after an activity.
For me, downgrading to ANT_BLE_BT_v5.04 solved my issues and a few of us have had success doing this if you search the various power drain threads. After downgrade I am using approx 0.3% battery per hour, or put it another way over 20 hours, battery drops 6% - this is of course without any activities.
To be honest it was all fine until the last update. I’ll try the recommendation in the threads, Thanks for the info
I have not seen a single update since the days of my Fenix 1 without complaints about battery drain. My F5+ works fine with 13.0 and the versions before. All battery drains I had with my Fenixes were caused by 3rd party watchfaces. First hint is to switch the watch off and on again!
Yes, 5135968 is right. He and a few others in another thread figured out the solution and this is my 2nd day testing it and battery drain is back to normal. Downgrade ANT/BLE/BT to 5.04. I also had to downgrade FW13.00 to FW12.00.
Where can I download ANT/BLE/BT 5.04 and FW12.00?
Check out the other thread there:
There's more details and links in that thread and how to downgrade
I do have same issue. Watch battery normal, until I run with music. the battery gets drain very quickly. I spoke with Garmin that they said there is high priority on this tickets and a beta software is there for those who use PC. However, it will take at least 2 weeks for the full update to come. This was much better news that my first call to them in which I was told that I need to change the battery for $160 - my watch is not even 18 moths old! Let hope they honor this and release the update soon.

Mac users can also access the beta software. Garmin have been a little backward in updating the information to reflect that Mac users need to use Android File transfer to access the watch to install the beta software.
Thanks philipshambrook! I will try but not an expert on these types of updates. I really hope that they come up with a proper version shortly. It is very embarrassing, I have to say. Happy, I am having all sort of problems with the watch lately, GPS connection takes forever, I need to restart, Battery drain, I need to restart after each run with music. Connection with the iPhone I need to connect manually most of the time..... No happy right now with Garmin after buying their to of the range watch a year ago.
Thanks again. This worked well and installed new ant version! Testing watch right now
