I purchased a 5x Plus back in December 2019 and its been fine up until recently. Now the compass refuses to work correctly. I've created a new thread as issues with this are common and are old posts.
It would appear the when I lay it flat on a table and rotate what would normally be around the cardinal points, the compass bearing reads between 290 and 330 degrees only. Oddly if I rotate the watch sideways through 90 degrees, the compass bearings move normally. It looks to me like the X,Y,Z values have gotten screwed up?
I have:
- Calibrated it succesfully outside with GPS lock and without GPS lock. Still works incorrectly as above
- Reset the watch completely and re-synched to my account, still works incorrectly as above
- Contacted Garmin - no response and its as far as I am aware under warranty (pretty poor show Garmin given I have always supported you by buying many of your products!)
