Hi, this is probably an easy one to answer but can someone tell me what the green dots are on maps? At first I thought they were segments but they are the green teardrops with starts icons in.
Many thanks

Maps on the watch, in the app or in Garmin Connect web? Green teardrop shape icons in the app and in Garmin Connect on the web are used for parks and sports facilities (in my area), but on the watch those same waypoints are of the appropriate type (i.e. a tree icon for a park).
There can be other explanations; starting points of shared routes maybe, but I've never seen those myself.
Thanks for your response and insight. I was referring to the maps in the watch itself. I think I've sussed it by zooming in on the dots and holding start to access the icon info and what it represents (discovered this neat trick on another thread). The green dots indicate the different villages, towns etc. They seem pretty randomly placed but I suppose it's difficult to mark the centre of the village itself.
