Recently upgraded from a Fenix 5 to a 6X Pro. Love it! used the built in nav and had turn by turn prompts with a little direction arrow and distance to that turn.
Added route map on thinking it was the same as dw maps just a fancy name for the 6 series, ran a route just to compare to garmins but no turn by turns and totally different to dw maps. This freaked me out whilst on the route as It was a route I wasn't sure of and didn't have it in the garmin routes. OPn getting home I googled and it basically piggy backs onto garmins mapping but unless use map is put on you don't get turn by turn prompts. So had a fiddle and thought no more of it, Ran another route and used Garmins own nav - it was going haywire and not the same route as my friends. More googling and I twas on routable- looks like it was re routing us the quickest way back to the end and not following the set route. Again more fiddling.
Long story short I now get turn by turn prompt buzzing but they only show distance to next turn and no direction arrow to say which way- ok if you are on the map screen as you can see but if you are on another screen you have to go back into map screen and stop to look.
How do I get the direction arrows back on the turn by turn? I love this feature as i can quickly at a glance know left or right while still running?
Sorry for the ramble but felt I need to say the amount of fiddling I have done! and cannot remember half the things I have fiddled with, I have looked in every setting on every option I can find on the watch and nothing seems to be related
Really annoyed I even used routemap now as the panic that caused has led to all of this :-(
