Fenix 5 Plus, music not showing on watch after downloading.

I got a Fenix 5 Plus recently and I am using a macbook. I went through the process of using garmin express to add some music and podcasts that seemed to work correctly. I checked the files I wanted to add then it took a few minutes to upload to the watch. After I disconnected the watch and tried to listen to the music, nothing shows up. I go to music providers and the watch says "Go to garmin connect mobile to connect music services". I'm getting really frustrated with this and have tried multiple times. I plug the watch back into the computer and it is showing that the files are on the watch and i can check and remove them, but I'm not able to listen to them on the watch. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

  • IMHO the music providers section is for Spotify and the likes. For file playing, there should be a music player on the watch Which might require a special File download directory.

    What is the manual saying?

I called customer support and figured it out. After I downloaded the files to the watch I was holding the bottom left down button to go to the music shortcut then music providers and nothing was showing. In order to get the new music to show I had to go to menu>settings>music>music providers>my music... and it was there. One would've assumed both methods would work the same, but I guess not.
