software version 11.0

looking at the change log for fw 11.0 i can't see an item mentioning GPS v2.60 despite this being in one of the earlier public betas (10.71). has the new gps version been pulled or forgotten to mention?

10.XX cannot run on GPS 2.60 - so it is on purpose that it has to be done like this.

What GPS version do you have? It might have crept in.

You probably have to Syncronize twice.. First to get 11.00 - and secondly to get GPS 2.60 (Stated earlier that version below 10.70 cannot install a GPS 2.60 and as therefore you have do sync. twice).

Did it work?? What I did was I got the FW 11 OTA.. installed int, turned the watch off, Turned it on and then syncronized again and the GPS 2.60 was ready to download.

I do the same and my version is still a 2,50 with a exclamation mark besides it

I always use WiFi to upgrade public release software now.. because of the GPS ... and the GPS version is always updated the first time... no need to sync twice using WiFi.....at least for me.

I too have v2.50 with exclamation mark. restart or connecting to garmin express doesn't change anything

Turn off the watch... Wait 2 mins turn it on again... then sync using a computer and you should get the new firmware.

Similar situation for me, SW 11 installed, but GPS stayed 2.50(!). I have plugged in to PC, run Express. The bubble icon on the device showed number 4 but there were only 3 map updates (other regions). Nothing else. When I have disconnected the watch it has offered to install the GPS module and has done it.
