New GPS software update to 2.60

I connected my fenix 5 plus to my computer today to charge it. I have Garmin Express installed, but I assumed that the device was up-to-date because it was always connected to the Connect app on my phone. But once it was finished charging and I put it on, it said there was a software update available.

Once I completed the update I noticed that the GPS firmware had changed from 2.51 (the beta from last summer) to 2.60. Does anybody know what has changed in the new version?

Which is interesting as it suggest you need 10.71 to use GPS2.60. What version of software are you on?

That seems to be the case, I updated to 10.71 last week.
