Sleep data still recording when watch not being worn

Anyone else experiencing their Fenix 5 plus recording sleep data in standby even though the watch has been removed from the wrist?

Still records sleep tracking data correctly when watch is being worn.

I have since power cycled my watch and will observe an idle session once more.

Thanks Twinaxx I've asked Osobny how this was done as I cannot find the toggle on the phone or the watch (only est. start/finish times). I just checked and you are right, there is no way to toggle this (anymore). I recall (from way back though) that you used to be able to set the start/end sleep times in Connect to the same values, which (maybe as a side effect?) disabled sleep tracking. But now that results in "We had a technical problem, and your changes did not save".

https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/fenix5plus/EN-US/GUID-3DC6CB9A-A42F-4E45-92AF-23738F6345C0.html mentions: "You can enable the Sleep Time option in the system settings to automatically enter do not disturb mode during your normal sleep hours" but that's not what is needed here. The wording is a bit confusing there; the first part of the sentence seems to imply that you can toggle "Sleep time" on/off, but that only pertains to toggling automatic Do Not Disturb during sleep times.

Sorry, no further ideas here. I ignore the sleep data, because I don't make use of it, do not expect it ever to become relevant, and trust Garmin to keep the data safe It's kinda private after all, heart rate, steps and (whatever is detected as) sleep recorded 24/7.
