Ski app does not work

I have a Fenix 5 Plus running the latests 10.0 software and I went skiing yesterday. To my surprise, when I launched the app and pressed start, the app would not work at all. The first time it got stuck at 0:02:00 activity time and I thought I might have stoppped the tracker without knowing. But I tried again and this time the time didn't even move.

During the descent, the speed would not register, neither would the altitude.

It was about 250m high at the most.

I tried to reboot the device to no avail.

My friend's Vivoactive 3 would work no problem on the other hand.

Any help appreciated!

    Found the solution in another thread from AllanOlesen67. Basically the "auto-pause" feature would not resume. If you turn "auto-lap" to off, it works as usual. Maybe Garmin should check into this not being this sensitive for a future update?

    I have the same issue. On fenix 5 plus, 10.00 software. The tracking just stops after a certain number of seconds. No runs recorded, no speed.

    The watch HAS worked in ski mode in the past with auto-run enabled, but now doesn't after a series of updates.

    The watch works fine in hiking mode (I gave up with the ski mode...)

    My friend's 5S plus worked fine, also on 10.00 software, which is strange!
