Considering we can do this via GC, would someone from Garmin like to comment?

Before I hear the usual about 'current' models, it's compatible with the VA3....

Perhaps if Garmin spent some time looking after their current models, then designing bloody Star Wars crap, we'd be a bit happier...

Have you spent your entire life up to this point dehydrated?  Are you going to train differently if you get this widget?  Of course not.  It's just more unnecessary fluff added to these watches.

    1) I do track my hydration especially during training.

    2) Th point is that when the VA3 is getting new features over the 5+ series, Garmin isn't really too focussed on the premium over the cheaper ends. Development time spent on present models rather than man-child gimmick Star Wars and Marvel watchs is wasted time

I found something that works much better than this widget. When I'm thirsty, I drink fluids. If it's hot outside or I'm going to exert myself, I'll drink fluids.  I don't need anything or anyone telling me when to drink or how much. It's been working great for more than 50 years. Is this something you really need, or is it more of a they got it, so I want it too?  I'm just saying if it doesn't come to the F5, you're not missing out.

Try training and running 50K +. Hydration becomes an important part of the whole thing. It's not just I'm thrsty so I'll drink, it's making sure that throughout the training cycle you have enough fluids even though you may not feel thirsty. I've been using the feature in GC to ensure that I do keep an eye on levels already

And it is also symbolic of Garmin's lack of interest in the plus series when even simple to implement features like this are missing.

This is exactly my point. Keep doing what you've been doing. Whats the point of a widget to tell you what you've been doing all along?

Because I've found the added feature in GC a useful way to log it - and if the widget ties into that, then I can keep an eye on it in the field. Would be a useful addition to an already existing infrastructure, and makes no sense why it's a missing feature.

It's like the SPO2 sensor on the 5x+. Great feature, hideously underused.

If you're running 50K+, you've been training for a while now. You know when to drink and how much to drink. What's changed?  Now you need a widget to record how many ounces you drank, when you drank it, and your next water consumption time. Are you now going to stop drinking because you hit "x" amount at "x" time?  Maybe it'll come to the F5.  I don't know, but I just think it's really unnecessary.
