settings and waypoints migration from fenix 3 to fenix 5 plus

Is it possible to transfer the settings (i.e. sports and screen layouts) and waypoints from a Fenix 3 to a Fenix 5 plus using the New Files folder? Or will it damage the Fenix 5 plus ?

Transfer your poi's using Garmin basecamp.....or Garmin Explore ...

And you can't transfer screen layouts...

I would not copy any of those settings to a new watch even if the same model. It's unlikely to damage anything, but you could induce problems that will then be hard to track down. Configuring the watch from scratch is also a great way get to know the menus and perhaps discover other features that you might be unaware of.

As suggested, use Basecamp to Explore to transfer the waypoints etc.
