Wrong route on map

I got the Fenix 5 plus. Lately very often i see the route plan on the map, connecting with a straight line parts of the route, while lap marks are on correct place.

That’s likely because you’ve lost GPS at some point for some reason. Do you have auto pause on ?

I have the same issue. I do not believe this is a lost GPS … note that the lap marker points on your picture, 6, 7 and 8 are known and presumably match your actual route? GPS must have been working. Garmin have screwed up the data at some point!

Although maybe a coincidence, I've only noticed this with software version 9.10 … I did not have the problem before this time.

I have the same issue with my Fenix 5 Plus.

Garmin Support Center went quiet on me and gave no Feedback whatsoever after I submitted links to the bad activities - rather poor service!

My watch has since updated to version 10.00 and the problem has not recurred since.

if you look at your runs in Garmin connect, you can find the watch software version used for each run. I’d be interested to know which software version numbers you’re having problems with!

I am on sw version 10.00 and I had this issue last Saturday.

I have had this issue twice on 10.00 and once on 9.76.0.0.

Have had this issue 4 times in 3 months, and 2 of those in the past 3 days. Garmin doesn't seem to know why this happens and it is pretty frustrating.
