Map Update Fail

I am trying to update my Topo Active Europe maps to the latest version and despite having 10.3GB free space on the watch and the update being around 7gb it fails and says "The latest version of these maps requires -7115345920 B of additional memory to fit on your devices internal memory". I have now just removed some music and the additional memory requirement has increased.....it looks like it is traeting it as a minus figure?

I have tried on 3 different laptops, rebooted watch, updated to latest beta software on watch, removed and re-added watch in Garmin Express and still same issue.

Any pointers?

Similar error here (Fenix 5X plus), update of Topo Active hang at 74,8% and I have no more the map on the watch. Waiting answer from support.

Opened a support ticket but Garmin are so slow at responding its ridiculous......wahoo responded within an hour and solved an issue with minimal fuss,

Italian support told me to uninstall and re-install Garmin Express + Fenix hard reset, but this didn't solve the problem.
What's your solution?

Just received a new Fenix 5X Plus from the "support".

In my case I don't get a new map notification despite trying Garmin Express on several computers. Have 2017 Topo maps on my Fenix 5S+, but the system says they are up to date.

If GE reported correct (2019) map version for your device then you should be able to install it regardless false "up to date" status. Use reinstall maps command in map's details view.

If the update is 7GB then you will need a min of 14GB of free space.
