Fenix 5 Plus Series - 8.73 Beta Release - UPDATED (again) 09/25/19

Hi all, sorry about the issues with these files. There was a server issue preventing the webpage from reloading with the proper files. This has been resolved now. If you re-download the 8.73 beta .zip from the links below, they will now include the correct "ANT_BLE_360" folder and v3.60 backdate file. Sorry about the delay.

Update: 09/20/19

Hi everyone. We have identified an issue with the ANT/BLE/BT software version 4.18 that was originally included in this beta. With v4.18 installed, there is potential for dropouts in Running Dynamics data to occur when recording an activity and listening to music at the same time.

I have updated the links below. If you redownload the beta update folder, the included ANT/BLE/BT version will backdate your device from v4.18 to v3.60. Install the "GUP3153.GCD" file to the Garmin\REMOTESW folder. You will not lose any settings or data from this backdate.

Running Dynamics are recorded by an RD pod, HRM-TRI, HRM-Run, etc. You will only experience issues with this data on v4.18 if you are also listening to music while recording an activity.

    If you're having difficulty, email it as a bug to the garmin beta feedback email address and ask them to email you the GCD - it may be as simple as the server is giving out the old GCD

    Anybody successful with Fenix 5 Plus? Multiple times copied the new file and let the watch "eat it" without success, tried as well to copy whole installation pack to watch and still can see 4.18 for BT. More over - I downloaded the files 1st time on 23rd, so I believe there should be already in the package 3.60 version, however my watch installed with 4.18. Comparing file I downloaded today - the BLE is identical to previous version of file I have. Is there a chance that for 5 plus there is not updated file on the server?

    Hello, short update:

    I downloaded as well files for 5S plus and 5X plus. In 5X i can see the same folder and the same file for BT as in 5plus. However in 5s plus I see different file and the folder is named ANT_BLE_BT_v360 as expected for downgrade. Could somebody from Garmin please check if there is correct file uploaded for other versions? Or is it safe to download the BT file from 5s plus and install it on 5 plus? Is it only the sensor hub part model specific and the others are shared across whole 5/5s/5x plus line? Thx!

    It's odd, as I've noticed all three downloads have Sensor Hub directories for all three models .. I think you may be right, but it would be nice for Garmin to confirm

    Fenix 5s+ and  5+ have the same sensor BLE, ANT

    Thank you for fixing the files on servers, now all worked as a charm, 3.60 on Fenix 5 plus.

    Since the Bluetooth was rolled back, should it still be in the 8.73 change log notes?
