Altitude gain data not imported

Since I updated the firmware of my Garmin Fenix 5 Plus to version 8.40 GoldenCheetah no longer reads altitude data. Has Garmin changed the format of FIT files since the new update?

I have problems with several data in Golden Cheetah after the update:

Time moving
Max. speed
Elevation

I saw some mention of this already for beta 8.02 and didn't install it for exactly that reason. But I never got around to blocking the automatic update for 8.40.
