PacePro

I noticed that I can create PacePro strategies on Garmin Connect Mobile, and that I can send those (apparently) to the Fenix 5 plus. But then I seem to cannot use them on the watch... Anyone found a way to do this? Or, maybe more likely - is the creation and sending in Garmin Connect Mobile a bug for a watch that is not the new Fenix 6?

You can see it on Garmin connect and send it to your F5+ because making good software is not one of Garmin's strengths.

So yes. It's a bug, or simply an unpleasant user experience, if you like.…

dont really see the benfit of pacepro ?? if you have to use a loaded course to get pacepro working i see it as useless !!!

much much better to use running power instead
as soon as you know your Critical power you just stay on powertarget and forget about pace when going up or down and doesnt need a course loaded

And thats exactly how I train on the trails with the 5+. Whilst assisting greatly on training runs, those power readings alone won't give you any indication as to what time you'll finish ahat course when it comes to an actual race, hence the benefit of PacePro.

But why can I send the strategy to a Fenix 5+ on GCM? (Unless it's a bug, as was pointed out already...)

I cant send it to mine. Connect says, my watch is not compatible....

On the Fenix 6, PacePro Plans show up when selecting a run, then up arrow for options, top choice. I can only see PacePro workouts that I previously created in the Garmin web interface (select course, pacepro option at the bottom, adjust settings, pace, split, hill effort, save, sync with watch). You could try these steps on your watch.
