OK Garmin ... sorted!

After trying a non-quickfit strap, I lost a small washer off the one pin (you know, the pin the quickfit strap clicks onto)...

Apparently Garmin don't have them as spares, and expect me to send my whole watch in to be repaired!

For this!

  • Interesting point. However, we've just gone through a similar thing with screw for our car key. Bear with me on this. There is a single, very small screw that hold the two halves of the key together probably about 3mm long and small in diameter. We lost ours so went to the dealers to discuss getting a replacement. Long story short, they don't keep spare screws; we need to buy a new key. The screws are too small and too expensive to keep stocked as a spare part. While the screw itself is small packaging, handling, storage of a very small number of screws is expensive and not worth their time, especially as people are not prepared to pay $10 for the very small screw.

So I get their point. But they could at least have spare watch pins they could supply as replacement items.

BTW, never even noticed there was/should be a washer. Think I've lost mine...
