After I wear the strap, my left wrist feel itch. It was not happened in the original black strap.

I suffer from a little contact dermatitis and I keep in in check by rinsing my watch and strap in cold water every day and drying thoroughly. I think for the quickest response I'd shoot them an email....

Persoanlly, I find nylon and/or leather better, but some people can be quite sensitive to the silicone - my wife is for example. My f5x+ black strap left a rash on her after she just tried my watch on for a few seconds, but she does suffer from hyperkeratosis of the skin so with her it is a little different

  • Thank you for the reply AJRykala.

The support in my country is helplessness, I have had several rounds of communications in 2 major problems.

I even can know what their reply will be: "we never receive such feedback, please keep monitor or go to hospital to check and proof that's because of our Garmin Strap".

I will try to wear it in my another wrist for some time and check again.

I have to wash my fenix 5x almost every day with water and mild soap to avoid rash with garmin silicone band. My friend have to do the same thing. I also make sure that the pins and the hole is completly dry by blowing with my mouth and wiping it before I put it on my wrist and charging it to avoid rust on the charging pins, very important.

  • Like AJRykala I also suffer from contact dermatitis, cleaning the straps and wrists regularly with various allergy/ph free soaps made no difference for me. I also tried third party watch straps one was leather and this also made no difference (cost me £30!!). Frustrated I decided to make my own strap from nylon stretch material and velcro. Never had a problem since, and the fit is very comfortable and very adjustable (more than Garmin strap). The strap cost less than £3 (https://winstanleysbikes.co.uk/hope-velcro-stretch-strap) and all I had to do was remove the plastic buckle and undo the watch strap mount on the one side so I could connect fix the loop to the watch.
