New battery trouble on 8.40 and GPS sw 2.51

After using 8.40 since it came out and GPS sw 2.51 since 2 days my battery dropped from about 80% last night to 35% this morning. I have not used the GPS due to a small running injury so SW mode only. I booted the watch after both installs.

Anybody else noticed funny behaviour?

Garmin, if you read this, please add it to the bugs list as I have not been able to mail you (mail bounced twice).

My battery is draining also. Had 100 percent when i fell to sleep and woke up to 25.

Thanks. I also had no issues, was doing really good actually and than out of the blue.... No new apps, wf or widgets. Let's hope it's a one time thing!

I live exactly the same thing. This is really random yesterday I went to sleep with 97% this morning the battery has 47%. Normally the battery melts by 10% per day without any activity. It's really sad because I love my watch.

For me it was a one time thing, had no problems at all since!
