fenix 5 plus - application memory size ?

Short question: Is it normal that there is only a space of 2 MB for widgets, apps, displays (2048kB to be exact)?

I can just install a few watch faces, two apps and one widget, and now the memory is already full !?

I looked through the specs that I could find, but these only talkes about 16GB storage, no mention at all of a small app/widget/display/etc storage.

(after deleting three watchfaces and the one app I had installed)

Nobody can verify if 2MB is indeed the max capacity for apps?

It just seems so strange to have GBs for music, but to restrict the user to only use a very limited number of apps/displaydesigns etc.

Was there ever a solution to this problem?

I have just bought a Fenix 5x and having the same issue. I went back to the store and they gave me a new watch but said if this one does the same thing its obviously an issue on my end. I've tried another phone and my computer but all coming up with the same issue.

    Help!?

  • There is no solution because this is how it's designed. Only very limited resources are available for the Connect IQ virtual machine.

    That's BS.

I've tried another phone and my computer but all coming up with the same issue.

    No surprise there.

  • My Fenix 5x plus used to have 2MB.... but about 3 months ago... it changed to about 16MB I think..... through a software upgrade..... Have a look at this picture......

Maybe you're watch didn't get the upgrade?...
