Can I connect my Fenix 5 plus to Android huawei without connect app

Is it only way to keep fenix 5 plus and my android Huawei connected with connect app.

If possible, could someone tell how to do it

Connect app current consumption is huge and I need to charge my phone twice a day.

My wife uses her with a Huawei. That is certainly not normal behaviour. Sounds like an underlying phone issue

Have you whitelisted GC in battery settings? That's certainly not normal consumption? Is this a recent thing (i.e last update)

Do you have the Sapphire f5+ - as that has wifi and can sync via that - leaving GC just for odd jobs

Even if you connected at the bluetooth level, there would be nothing for your watch to "talk to" if GCM wasn't running.

If you just want to upload activities, there is the option to connect the watch via an USB-OTG cable (if Huawei supports that) and use Garmin Connect in a browser to upload.

I agree to the other posts that this is not normal and GC does not burn battery on my Samsung. Maybe it is the undelaying "special software"...

I've had the mate 9, 10 and now 20 and never had a problem with any type of connection.
