I have fenix 5x plus. I have enabled move iq, but it doesnt detect riding a bike or walking.

  • You won't see anything on the watch itself as far as I know, but you should see your Move IQ activities on Garmin Connect Mobile or the Garmin Connect website.

I have the same on both of my watches (Fenix 5X and Vivoactive 3). Move IQ does not register any activity in my TimeLine anymore.

Move IQ is activated and the Move Types are present.

Any idea how to solve? Both watches are running the latest version...

  • I'm running 9.10 on my 5X+ and Move IQ has been picking up my daily dog walks without fail. Same story on 9.0 and all prior firmware versions. I have an Android phone. Could this be yet another iOS problem rather than a watch problem?

  • Just checked in Garmin Connect under Heartrate and there are Move IQ activities every day: Cycling to the train station and some walks, which I don't track as sports activities. Rarely the cycling is not detected, probably I was to slow and the watch did not move enough. In the last weeks I switched from 9.0 to 9.1 and 9.71 beta, there was no difference in Move IQ tracking.
For me this is just an add-on which I don't really need, similar to steps and stairs.

Thanks for input given. Meanwhile I did test again (also on Android instead of iOS). Both seems to work correct. In the Connect App I was looking in the TimeLine but did not find any tracking. In the Agenda and also in Heartrate it shows correctly. Thanks again, issue solved!
