HR Broadcast to Edge series still dropping out.

When in broadcast mode my Fenix 5X plus will connect to both my Edge 520 and Edge 830 as a HRM, however the HR display goes blank at some point during the ride. The connection is not lost, but the data doesn't show. The Edge HR icon indicates a HR connection but the data field is blank. After disconnecting then reconnecting the Fenix, the HR signal displays again but only lasts for a short time.

I've read through the older posts and it seems to be a common problem but I haven't read of any fix.

Is this still a problem for others?

Software version 7.60 on my Fenix 5X plus.

For my understanding, wrist HR is not recommended for cycling. The position on of your arm while cycling will not allow the watch to get a proper HR measure

I don't think it's a question of not being recommended as much as it not being reliable and consistent enough when cycling; in fact for 'active' activities in general. I'm willing to bet that the disconnection/reconnection process happens when the OP is stationary hence giving the appearance of a fix. I broadcast my HR from the wrist when cycling indoors generally without any problems but that is likely because I am not moving around as much - at least that is what my butt tells me anyway!
