Which maps does my 5 Plus has?

Hi,

2 weeks ago I bought a new 5 Plus here in Germany (upgraded from 5).

The map feature is really cool.

I tried to find out which maps I have on my watch. Is it entire Europe? can I see that info somewhere on the watch?

If I'm going on holidays to the US, how can I upload US maps? is there a manual somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

  • You should have worldwide base maps as well as TopoActive Europe maps installed off the shelf.  The base maps are kind of useless, but the TopActive maps are good for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, etc.  One thing they don't have is the ability to route by automobile and they also don't have points of interest within cities such as restaurants, museums, etc.  To get that information, I'd recommend the free maps from OpenStreetMap (http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/).  I've used them to navigate cities in a few countries and they are very detailed and reliable.
