Edited activities on IOS app not showing on watch and elsewhere

Hi, this morning I did an outdoor swim which did not track accurately with the GPS, so I updated the activity manually on the iOS app. I changed the distance

When I sync with my watch it didn’t change the activity on the watch or on my calories etc on the daily measure on the app. Is there a way of doing this?

in the end I deleted the activity on the watch in the hope that it would then sync from the app which has the updated activity. But no luck.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Activities are only transferred from the watch to Garmin connect. They are not automatically transferred back. You may be able to export the activity from Garmin Connect and manually copy it back, but I've not tried this myself.
