Fenix 5x plus, weather widget, wrong values

Hey guys, I bought Fenix 5x plus three days ago and weather widget is not showing proper values(or atleast something around real values).

For example right now there is 18°C, but my watch shows 7°C which is totally off.

However hour to hour forecast is pretty spot on with temperature and weather.

Is there any way to sync or show it properly? I realise that it pulls data from the phone, but I have Samsung S10+ and their default widget for weather shows 18°C.

I already tried reinstalling Connect app and all location and GPS permission are enabled for Connect app, but it still won't show good values. I even tried to travel to a bigger city to see if the values would change. They would change, but still would be way off.

Thanks for any tips or help.

  • I have more or less given up on that widget. Not because it is inaccurate, but because I don't know the age of the data.

When I view the widget, it will usually show some numbers immediately. Then, after perhaps 5-10 seconds (much longer than I would usually look before switching away from the widget), the values will suddenly change.

So it is pretty clear to me that it starts by showing old data (but how old? from last view? from a background update some hours ago? or random?), and then it starts communicating to find newer data and show those.

This behaviour would be acceptable if there was some kind of indication that the data were old (and perhaps _how_ old). But there is nothing. No change in screen background colour after data refresh. No change in font or font colour after data refresh. No warning about old data before data refresh.

I consider this an incredibly bad UI.
