fishing, get a lot of steps

When i fish and spin the reel, i get steps.

for every turn of the reel i get one step.

any one else have this problem?

part from taking of the watch, what can i do to stop the watch from counting steps when im fishing?

Any rhythmic motion that involves your wrist will trigger steps. The only way around this is either not wearing the watch or disabling activity tracking.

Your wrist is seeing what it thinks are steps. The thing you can try is wearing it on the other wrist while fishing.
