Differences between the Hike, Tactical and Walk apps?

They look nearly identical to me with very similar data fields.  Can I just keep one of them for all my (rare) walking needs?  Do any of the "walking" apps offer advantages, features, or data fields that are unique?  Do they record the activity identically?

  • tactical i don't know. but i think the main difference between walking and hiking is that you can set it up indivualy (for example set a datafield for elevation on hiking and just basic things on walking if you want). and to have it categorized in Connect.

  • The only differences are how you have them set up since your GPS or Data pages could be different between sports.  Another setting that gets overlooked is 3D speed and distance too.  Since you can set 3D speed and distance to calculate your speed or distance using both your elevation change and your horizontal movement overground. You can use it during activities such as skiing, climbing, navigating, hiking, running, or biking.
