Heart rate after 7.60 update

Heart rate after 7.60 update ,mine seems to be reading low ,just did a 4 mile walk quite a few hills but average BPM was 71 and highest 114 which would normally be higher ,as s result I pact on fitness 0.6 !!!!

  • I noticed the same thing but since last release. The heart rate shows much lower when I do cardio.

  • I realised there was a sensor hub update available after 7.60 update , installed it last night so I'll keep a check and see how it goes

  • Garmin are constantly trying to improve OHR so you'll tend to see changes after sensor hub updates. The only way to be certain it's accurate is to compare with a chest strap or something more reliable and accurate than the watch OHR.

  • Working very bad for me as well. New unit (5x plus), had 5.20 (I think) after purchase and OHR worked really great. Yesterday I got 7.60 and today did sort of interval training. What I got was pretty much no reaction to what I do, I constintently had my HR around 117 like if I would be running very steady (and quite easy). Big disappointment and since no one offered a fix I guess I have to install beta 8.01 now

  • I drove down to FW 6.0 and the pulse is okay. Garmin is not suitable for regular users, but for IT specialists. sadly Disappointed

  • How do you downgrade to 6.0? Everything after 6.0 is horrible.

  • Find the complete fw 6.0 for fenix 5 plus.
Proceed as for the beta system loading. Overwrite all files. Not only gupdate.gcd .
    Functionally for me

    1. Place the gupdate.gcd file, found in the System_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN folder of the device
    2. Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the 5*_Sensor Hub_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
    3. Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the GPS_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
    4. If you have a WiFi-enabled device, place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the WiFi_v*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
    5. Place the gupXXXX.gcd file, found in the ANT_BLE_BT_V*** folder, into the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of the device
    6. Disconnect from your computer and proceed through the update.
    7. If you would like to revert to the last public release software, drop the gupdate.gcd file found in the System_Backdate_v600 folder in the \GARMIN directory
    8. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

  • Do you have a version of 6.0 archived anywhere?
