Why does "Options - IR" dropdown menu keep appearing in hiking mode?

I'm in the Hiking activity and on every wiget(?) i see a drop down menu appear that read "^ Options" and a blinking "IR". Why is this? How can I make it stop?

Thanks guys. Sorry if this is obvious. I'm new to this watch and really struggling to navigate the UI.

You could change some things for that activity.

eg When I start a run it also shows when you push the up button you will get a menu with Courses, Use Map, Activities, Run Settings, Training, Navigation. You then can select for example a course you created and uplaoded to your watch and it will navigate you for that run. With Traning you can select Workouts that you uploaded to your watch or intervals or start a Lactate Threshold Guided Test or set a target and so on.

Just go through the entire menu that's what I did when I got it.

Use the online Fēnix^® 5/5S/5X Plus Owner's Manual when somethings are not clear.

With the "IR" I can not help I did see that on my watch untill now
