Fenix 5x plus vs 945 ohr

Hello,

Received my 945 bundle (lost of stuff comes with it).

Now, the watch is much smaller(not good) and lighter (good).

I tried the sensors:

945 : 90 bpm

F5x+: 79 bpm

Different arms.

  • Different arms = no comparison possibly due to vascular differences. How about using a chest strap for comparison or manually measuring your pulse at the same time?

Will do...also the pulse ox on 945 seems slow to reponds vs f5x+

  • Surely if you're getting an 11 bpm difference it's more likely to be placement?

If it was a vascular difference causing that then there would be absolutely no point in optical HRMs whatsoever.  When you take into account how many different wrists are involved over the 1000s of users ther must be some sort of structural consistency.

My OHR seems fairy accurate on day to day use just not during exercise.
