  • Yes. I'm on 7.10, and it's the same.

This high end watch should deserve to have these new features in the first place. Otherwise, I am very regret that i chose this 5s plus.

  • You know what the great thing is? Your 5s Plus has a million other things that it can do, so all those features that Mr. Cronus complained about that you’re not getting, can fall by the waist side because you have a fantastic watch. You’ll still will  be able to do your workouts, Yea!

I suppose though, if a NEW product comes out that has features you want that you could always just BUY it...Wink

    Bug in calories displayed!

Had an activity today that shows 406 kcal but when i scroll to the "calories today" page, it only shows 389 kcal as "Active" value!?

Did the activity show 406 total calories for the duration or 406 "active" calories?  The total calories include active and BMR calories combined for the activity duration.

In the detailed view of the activity it shows 406 kcal for the duration.

The calories page however gave me 389 on the left side (active) - I don't remember the right side value showing the BMR value.

I've seen the high battery drain rates when navigating a course as well, but I think this has been a feature of all firmware releases so far (I recall using turn by turn nav on a hike that lasted ~9h and consumed around 70% of the battery on 6.x).

This seems reasonable given that the watch is logging GPS, calculating movement vectors and comparing it to a graph of predefined coordinates, calculating remaining distance and time on top of the regular speed calcs, plus the burdensome task of continually redrawing the map screen if you've got it displayed. There's a lot going on there.

It'd be interesting experiment to compare drain rates with the map screen rendering versus the metrics screen (with heading bug displayed).

You won't this see this improve. Its determined by the antenna design (immutable after manufacture :)) and the output power of the Bluetooth radio (which would need to be reapproved by FCC so it won't change either).

My advise would be to buy a headset with a larger antenna, or one that features an antenna on the side where you wear your watch. You might want to try the Backbeat Fit 2100 as it performs exceptionally well.
