7.52 Change Log Notes:

  • Fixed an issue where smart notifications could intermittently stop working on iOS devices.
  • Fixed an issue with golf auto-scoring while using CT-10. 
  • Fixed an intermittent issue where the device could crash when using the Xero widget. 
  • Fixed an issue where the device could crash during a Biking activity when using a speed or cadence sensor.


Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

    hi George,

    I responded on your message also in the forum.

    my understanding about how it works:

    DND - do not disturb

    • iPhone DND = on - notifications are not sent to Garmin
    • iPhone DND = off - notifications are sent to Garmin regardless the DND on the watch; Garmin will receive the notifications and only the way that "display" them is controlled by Garmin DND
      • Garmin DND = off - watch will vibrate/sound/backlight 
      • Garmin DND = on - no  vibrate/sound/backlight 

    I have a 20:00 - 12:00 sleep time on my watch, and I usually in the morning overwrite the DND=off 

    but I made a test change the sleeping 13:26 - 13:30

    I used  SMS as test notifications.

    till 13:26 - SMS showed on Garmin + vibrate/sound/backlight 

    13:26 - 13:30 - SMS showed on Garmin but no vibrate/sound/backlight

    from 13:30 -  SMS showed on Garmin + vibrate/sound/backlight 

    so looks good to me.

    moreover, Strava, VIP email,  Urgency National notifications all came on Garmin after 13:30

    all these are fine, still, sometimes I have the same feeling some notifications are missing.

    Has anyone tested changes on this version about the wifi sync problems? The previous beta has:

    "Improved the reliability of Wifi syncs". Mine with the stable version and different routers does'n work at all.

    I think will be useful to make a different space for this settings so the wipe doesn't clear this space at all. Like a soft reset (maybe with another name if this exists yet).

    Also will be useful an easy way to install and revert from one version to another by express or connect without touching any file by the user, including download I hope made by the app.

    hi,

    I did...works to me.

    still...my sync session is pretty much short...as I have only training, per day pulse, sleep, oximeter...

    If I remember correctly the wifi issues were reported for longish sync sessions, like music update, etc.

    While not in the change log, I appear to have much better GPS tracks with 7.52 vs 7.10.  I will do a few more activities before I draw the final conclusion, but things appear to look better.

    Anyone noticed higher battery drain during activity sort of compensated after. I noticed that since 7.10. Is is corrected in this beta?

    In smartwatch mode the battery is exactly as advertised.

    I did notice the altimeter problem.  I'm always 50m below sea level.

    stil......yesterday in the morning i ride.

    and no more notifications since.

    so indeed it is not solved.

    even on watch it appear connected, on GarminConnect it is not connected.

    what I tried:

    -bluetooth on/off on iPhone - no effect

    -same on watch - no effect 

    - restart the watch - connection is back
