  • As i said, i'm reported the same bugs for months (even year) to beta team but it seems i'm wasting my time...

  • I had that every now and then. Complained a lot about it and got green light to pick up a new one last Friday. No more excessive drain since with 0.29-0.31 % drain per our in SW mode. Should get between 12 and 14 days out of mu f5+ts like this, fingers crossed!

Remove the third party ones and test though - the one responsible may work well on the VA3 but not like the Fenix for some reason - it may help to identify a bug

Considering the price tag, it feels a bit funny how Garmin forces us to use these .5x betas and work as their testers (e.g. firmware 6 broke cycling power and now this) and in the same time they use these units to develop FR945 features that we most likely don't get.

New watches were always going to appear.... I bought my F5X+ the week before the announcement of the 945. Doesn't diminish my watch in the slightest....  TBH I prefer the fenix series simply because of the ruggedness and the new FirstBeat features aren't really going to impact me greatly.

  • I hope you realise that writing here does not constitute "reporting a bug".
Also, I think this is as much the phone as the watch.
I have it too sometimes and it's been different with different phone software.
Sometimes in the morning I have to cycle the phone Bluetooth.
It never helps to cycle it on the watch and this indicates it's probably the phone messing up.

  • I had a lot of battery drain with my first F5+ unit no matter what watch face I had or what feature I enabled. Even in pure watch mode I had 20%/day of battery consumption.

Then I contacted garmin support and had my unit swapped.

It's four full days now and I am at 54% battery with 2 1h runs and a lot of installing changing of wath faces etc. so I'm really hapy now.

  • Any improvement around Bluetooth connection with Jabra Elite ?

  • In the installation instructions it says, "NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults."  I'm not sure what settings I might have that would effect me.  How do people deal with this?

    hi,

I made couple of times revert to official release when in 5.xx

if I remember correctly all settings including widgets, activities screens, list of activities, shortcuts, all were push to default, like a new watch.

I spent maybe 15min to set back, but, it was an opportunity to rethink what is important and not.

    just me,

    robert
