I bought a new glass and surround too, but can't remove the LCD from the old glass. There's not much space fro glue, but what there is is bloody strong! I managed to scratch the inside of my glass a little with a scalpel (very close the the edge luckily) and damage the LCD a little too, but thankfully the LCD damage seems to be correcting itself as time goes by!
Did anyone have any luck removing the LCD from the glass?
I restored some of the original brushed steel appearence to a fully scratched bezel by taping over the lcd glass (be carefully to perfect cover it otherwise it gets dull) and polishing with a sponge for dishes. It took like 3 hours because you need to be extremely carefull, otherwise you make more damage than other. Disclaimer: try with a professionist jewler if you don t want to risk your watch. I am not responsible for any damage to your watch. To me it fully worked but i was ready to scrap the bezel or the watch itself. Using a strong abrasive (i used a very weak one) will destroy your bezel.
