Assistance sensitivity?

Hi there, quite like the new connect vo2max graphs ect, and noticed when latest app installed I also saw assistajce/ incident detection on my fenix 5 plus, v7. 10.

Anyone else used it?

I was watching a film earlier, so clearly moving that much while watching the avengers :), and watch starts flashing hold 3 times for assistance... No idea what set it off?? Anyway tried for fun and all worked to email and sms my contacts, but why did it get set off?

I have it added to controls dial but nothing would have by my pressing done it.
  • If I remember correctly, holding a button will trigger the assistance alert. You can only auto trigger the incidence detection if you have it enabled, are in an activity, and it detects movement followed by a sharp acceleration/deceleration followed by no movement. If that happens it will vibrate and beep with a warning that says incident detected and a countdown to when it will send the alert if you don't cancel it.

You must have bumped your light button and it was letting you know that if you hold the button for three seconds it will trigger an assistance request.
  • OK, thks, I wasn't in an activity, andall my buttons if held do other things... Not big issue tbh, will see if it rehapoebs to see any observations worth noting

The auto incident detection thing has gone off for me randomly twice, both times I was clapping my hands to get my dog’s attention.
