Morning all! A few things to ask/report:
i) TbT navigation slowness: has anyone noticed or experienced a 'sluggishness' in the operating of TbT navigation, when running and biking? I recall when new (at the beginning of the year for me) the Turn notice was spot on, it would give 200yds and 50yds notice and would say 'turn' just when i reached the turn. It was precise and accurate, pretty much every time. Now it is noticeably sluggish, like it's tired. Turn warnings sometimes don't happen, and 'turn' appears while i'm on the turn or have finished turning. I've not changed my GPS settings (i'm in the UK and find GPS+GALILEO to be optimal). Any idea what's causing this 'fatigue' and whether it can be rectified?
ii) Navigating to addresses: Explore stopped synching Waypoints: i learned earlier the quickest/easiest way to do this would be to locate the address in Garmin Explore (app or web), name and save it as a Waypoint, add the Waypoint to my collection, sync to my watch, then navigate to a 'saved location' with the same name in the watch. I should get a TbT navigation route to follow. Does that sound right? Unfortunately, i can't get anything to sync to my watch. The Explore app just says 'Synching from fenix 5 Plus' at the bottom (never disappears) and on the devices page it says 'Sync failed 23 Mar' at the top, despite being 'connected' and just spins and spins. Nothing seems to transfer. So even though my Waypoint is in my library, i can't find a way of getting it on my watch. Could anyone suggest a fix?
iii) Live estimated distance completion duration: Is there a way of adding a field that shows the current expected 'completion duration' for a particular pre-set distance ? e.g. let's say i'm running a half marathon and am hitting a current pace of 7:05min/mi - can i have it tell me that that implies my half marathon completion time is currently 1:32:50 ?
iv) Garmin Tempe live vs GC report basis: My Garmin Tempe appears to measure the temperature to 0.1 degree (centigrade) and reports to that accuracy live on the watch. The GarminConnect report simply rounds it to the nearest degree, and sometimes doesn't even seem to match what it reported on-site. E.g. i recall hitting -0.6C at a particular point on a run, and it showed 1C at that point on the activity upload. Not sure what is driving this basis, but it's a bit annoying. Anyone find a way of reconciling?
Phew.
Thanks for any thoughts.
John
