I am unable to connect to any ANT sensors with this beta. Tried removing and re-adding HRM strap as well as a Tempe Sensor. Neither will connect.

A hard reboot/reset seemed to fix this issue.
  • I had the same issue with inability to connect to sensors. After a power cycle, everything functioned correctly.
  • With this beta I am not seeing a post activity drain following any activities... 6 activities since installing, 3 using GPS, 1 using GPS and Music.... all of them free of PAD. That is an improvement for me. But I've also noticed that the battery consumption during activities is a bit higher.

My watch charges a lot faster. It also no longer jumps from 92% to 100% during charging, but steady climbs all the way to 100%. Right after it reached 100%, I disconnected the watch and it showed 99%. I then cycled power and it still shows 99%. This is also an improvement for me.

I am only getting about 85% of the expected battery life which is typical for my usage, but lower than some of the other betas I've tested using the same settings and with very similar usage.
  • jlgranth , only my first run since upgrading, but for the first time ever no noticeable post activity drain either. Agree that it seems slightly higher consumption during activity, but hard to be sure given a sample of 1. Hopefully this trend continues!
  • Hi to all, mine charged as intended for the first time.
I will test the PAD and let you know.

Tested it. No PAD and regular charging till 100%.

Battery consumption seems a bit higher. I think they are on the right track to resolve this.

After installing 6.71, my device charged all the way to 100% without any issues for the first time ever. It also seems like the post activity drainage is no longer an issue, but, like others have mentioned, there is higher battery consumption during activity.

Previous to installing beta software, I threw together a spreadsheet to track the battery consumption. I found that although there was post-activity drainage, I was getting pretty close to expected battery life overall. In other words, the device was draining too little during the activity, and then in excess post-activity to make up for it.

Now that the battery indicator appears to be displaying the correct value, I'll have to do another test to see if I still get close-to-advertised battery life.

You read that right. I actually tried it out and it worked great with the CT10's I have on my PW, SW, and putter. They also released a version for the FR935! I'm impressed that they are back porting this functionality to 2 year old devices.
