Anyone already have experience with the new beta firmware for the beta Connect IQ 3.1? Very interested, because it looks like it finally support other bluetooth devices (like a Woo kitesurfing tracker).
Is it only available for Fenix 5 Plus? Nothing for Fenix 5X plus?
This is because the attendees at the recent Developer Summit were all given Fenix 5 Plus devices. And in order for developers to use the new SDK 3.1 Beta, they would need to update the F5+ they received to this beta. I don't think this is meant for general use otherwise.
The 20.01 beta was intended for CIQ developers only. It is the 6.00 public software version with the new Connect IQ 3.1.0. It does not contain the changes that have been made between 6.00 and the current beta, 6.64.
As with any beta, installation and use is your decision and done so at your own risk. But if you have been using 6.64, you will lose some features by "upgrading" to 20.01.
Additionally, you will have to downgrade software to 6.00 before updating to any subsequent beta (anything we release above 6.64) or public updates (anything we release above 6.00). This will force the device to do a master reset and all settings will be lost.
