I get Error Code 0700. I've tried all kinds of config of a 2.4Ghz wifi network, different channels, channel widths, etc.
Doesn't make any difference. But the watch connects fine…

Same here... it is connecting to the WiFi and says successful but when I try to download music through Spotify on to my garmin it says sync failed.. WiFi network is been added but when I select connect to WiFi on my garmin watch it says “ unable to connect error 0300
Hi, my fix was not to use any router wifi, but use the wifi generated with my Mac Pro which is connected to ethernet, and it works perfectly ever since (the Mac Pro wifi has channel 11 and 2.4GHz). Hope it is worth trying, i.e. using some other device to generate wifi instead of the home router.
Mine works fine now. Depends on the Garmin software and your router. I have done everything to make it work without any results. After an update by Garmin on my Fenix 5x plus everything works fine. So the only thing il ti change router, or Garmin, or be very patient.
