Garmin 5 plus Sapphire broke - 5 months use

Is this a common problem? Can I use the warranty? Other members who have experienced this? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1464297.jpg
  • Hi, is that a normal 22mm band? So without quick release?
    I'm asking because than it could be that you applied to much force on the screws.
  • Goeanaco you don't say whether it just failed without you doing anything or whether it was the result of a fall or banging it against something. If it has just failed under normal usage then it should be replaced under warranty. If caused by an accident then I would think not. I suggest either way that you go back to the retailer first. If both of those fail then check your household insurance policy - it may be covered by that.
  • It is the Garmin 22mm quickfit stainless steel band.
    JSRUNNER, I wear it at the office, i'm not really an athlete..I will contact Garmin, hopefully they offer a suitable solution

    Wait for the next firmware update when Garmin will fix your issue with an update of the music player. :cool:
